Montenegro and Kosovo are successfully cooperating thanks to the IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme, within which a total of 23 projects worth 8.57 million euros were supported in the programme period 2014-2020 through three calls – was the message from the meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) of IPA Cross-border Cooperation Programme Montenegro – Kosovo 2014-2020, which was held last week in Pristina.

Important documents for the functioning of the Programme were adopted at the meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC), including the Annual Report on the implementation of activities for 2022, the Annual Work Plan of the Joint Technical Secretariat for 2023, as well as the Communication and Visibility Plan for the current year.

After that, a bilateral meeting was held between representatives of the Ministry of European Affairs of Montenegro and the Ministry of Local Government Administration of the Republic of Kosovo, where current activities and plans for the next period were discussed, as well as up-coming plans for IPA III.

IPA Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Montenegro-Kosovo 2014-2020 The global objective of the programme is to improve the standard and quality of living of the people in the programme area through the environmentally sustainable and socially inclusive economic development of the region, with respect for its common cultural and natural heritage.
